Hi !
Frederick is a biologist specialized in botany, and a nature photographer based in Canada.
Quickly drawn to science communication, public awareness, and biodiversity monitoring, [Name] first saw photography as a personal passion — before realizing it could become a powerful vehicle for raising awareness. Alongside his professional career, he began writing articles for social media and various publications, paired with his photographs, to show why nature deserves to be protected. He also dedicates a significant amount of his images and time to non-profit organizations working in nature conservation, notably through educational activities.
Every image tells a unique story — one he loves sharing with the curious minds of this world.
Academic and Professional Background
A biologist since 2021, Frederick works in the environmental field, actively contributing to the growing body of knowledge on Quebec's biodiversity. He also holds a Master's degree in Plant Phenology.
He also works as a botanical consultant, conducting wetland characterizations, rare plant inventories, and comprehensive floristic surveys across territories intended for conservation, protected land, and private property. He has developed particular expertise in two groups: native orchids of Quebec-Labrador and sphagnum mosses (genus Sphagnum). He is currently working on an identification guide covering the province's 51 orchid species.
For any questions or project proposals related to these two groups, Frederick welcomes the conversation.
Guided Excursions
Drawing on his dual background in botany and wildlife observation, Frederick regularly leads guided botanical and birdwatching excursions, offering the public a firsthand opportunity to discover Quebec's flora and birdlife in the field, guided by rigorous scientific expertise communicated in an accessible way.
